October 30th, 2020 - In the midst of a world-wide pandemic, Nicholas and Jazmin attended a Halloween party where their story begins.

After initial conversation(s), Nicholas and Jazmin spent hours talking from 9:00PM - 3:00AM.

If you are wondering... Yes. Everyone left the pre-game party, went to the Halloween party, and returned to find Nicholas and Jazmin at Mallory's home STILL talking the night away!

After weeks of keeping in contact, Jazmin asked Nicholas out on a date! They went to 717 South located in the Hyde Park area of Tampa, FL.

Jazmin earned her Master's Degree in Human Resources Management from Florida International University in Miami, FL!

This was Nicholas and Jazmin's 1st trip to Charlotte as a couple. Jazmin fell in love with the city, environment and atmosphere! So much in fact, they frequented the city every chance they got until the point that it was decided that they would eventually live there one day in the future!

Leading up until the proposal, Nicholas told Jazmin that he intended to take her out on 6 dates leading up to a trip to Charlotte, NC. He explained that each date will be meaningful. He would often say the words, "Kobe, Kobe, Jordan." Those three words were referenced to represent NBA Legends Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan's Jersey numbers. (8.24.23).

August 24, 2023. 9:00AM

Nicholas leaves the apartment to meet with Jazmin's mother well in advanced before the special date that Jazmin is expecting for date 1 of 6 leading to Charlotte, NC.

(Nicholas subsequently calls Jazmin's father to meet up at the same location during lunch time.)

Upon reaching the destination in Bradenton, FL , Nicholas asked for the parental blessings and permission to ask for their daughter's hand in marriage!

Nicholas makes a call to his mother on his way to lunch to express his plans about making the largest decision of his life! The news was met with excitement, blessings, a sermon, and her preparation of the wedding to come!

Nicholas headed back home after receiving the blessing for Jazmin's hand in marriage to take her to dinner. On the way to dinner to the Council Oak Steak House in Tampa, Nicholas drives South towards Apollo Beach. He tells Jazmin that he wants to take her to see the sunset as they have often done before.

When they get to the beach, Nicholas suggests to Jazmin that they take a stroll on the beach as the sun is setting. Jazmin was surprised because Nicholas doesn't typically like to go on the beach, but nonetheless, she wasn't going to pass up the rare occurrence that he offered to walk in the sand!
